Looking for ways to tie down young branches to achieve a good crotch angle? I use the rope from our hay bales and landscape fabric staples to anchor the rope/twine into the ground (insert at an angle). The
staples I get from Amazon, in bulk, and shipping is free!
The tires Michael uses in his video are great for larger branches as the landscape staples probably wouldn't be strong enough for those. But if you have smaller more supple branches, I like the inconspicuousness of the staples and reusing the twine from the hay bales.
