Resource for used/new orchard ladder

Greetings from a waking Wisconsin.

I'm looking for opinions on orchard ladders: manufacturer, supplier, etc. Any info is appreciated. My first time purchasing and don't mind buying used.

I own both the Stokes and Tallman brand Aluminum Orchard Ladders. I am slightly partial to my Stokes ladders, but I would buy either. May merely be because I grab for the 8ft Stokes most often . . . the less climbing into the treee you have to do the better.

I believe all of the aluminum orchard ladders are rated for 300lbs maximum

A more natural feeling choice would be the classic Baldwin Ladder -- available in Tripod, open top or pointed top ladder configurations up to 20ft tall! [www.peterbaldwinarts.com] Plus there is a local distributor in Wisconsin too . . . I would check these out, if you are buying your first ladder, consider a Baldwin, they are both fully functional and a bit of historic connection to boot.

I like the idea of wooden ladders, and have used them, but I like the utility of aluminum ladders--don't have to carry them back to the barn every night to keep them dry.
