I have the Gomboy 210mm with 10 teeth per 30mm. It cuts well but I find it somewhat uncomfortable to use for long periods of time because of the folding handle design. When I purchase my next saw I'll be looking at the Gomtaro Fine which is the replacement for the Gomtaro Apple saw. I worked at a cider mill this last season and I was informed that the jugs were ~15 cents a piece from Rockford Packaging Supply Inc. We used gallons and half gallons from them on a refurbished milk bottler. We also received custom labels from them. Sometimes the labels came on the bottles, sometimes we had to place them ourselves. A Thought/Problem that may or may not help inspire more discussion: From the index there are no alerts to new posts in the 'Fruit Varieties' or 'Out to the Orchard' categories. Thank you Michael! Glad to see I was not too far off with my 500 hrs/acre estimate. I used an 8x14 dwarf planting of 388 trees. Included in my calculations were Pruning, Spraying, Branch Training, Mulching, Mowing, Fence Maintenance, Soil Amending, Thinning and Harvest. I'm doing a cost analysis to estimate what endeavors are worthwhile and being someone who only has a handful of trees currently I cannot accurately gauge what the time commitment is per acre. If you keep track of your hours out in the orchard pruning,spraying, thinning, harvesting etc would you mind sharing?
