Holistic Orchard Network Membership

Membership in the Holistic Orchard Network makes certain the community orchard movement.

Our intentions are to keep all aspects of this site open to everyone. From the free newsletter to the discussion forum to perusing cutting edge articles to research participation. We are asking that appreciative users of all this wonderful information provide ongoing support to make this sharing possible.

Basic membership is achieved once $100 in cumulative donations have been received.

Community Orchardist members are eligible for listing in our regional directory to healthy local fruit. . . this is how apple lovers are going to find those of you actually marketing fruit. Home Orchardist members get to participate in our exciting online community for grower interaction as well. All members participating in the discussion forum can post a grower profile to better get to know one another. 

Cidermaker members will be found in our Healthy Ciders listings. Arborist members willing to tend to home fruit plantings by holistic means can be found in our Tree Stewards listings. Grafting members selling fruit trees (and more!) will be found in our Bioregional Nursery listings.

Business sponsors will be designated by an apple symbol next to your listing within Grower Resources . . . with encouragement given to support your business in turn. Basic sponsorship starts with a $100 donation to launch patronage of this work. Becoming a premium business sponsor requires that this level of support be renewed annually. Now (in addition) we will display your logo prominently on our resource pages along with a short blurb highly recommending your company. Premium sponsors will be mentioned in occasional newsletter articles and/or be featured in 'the spotlight' on our portal page as well. Sponsorship renewals will be sent out annually as a means of keeping your company's standing in the best orchard advertising on the web.

All contributions will be acknowledged in the next edition of the Community Orchardist newsletter. Network support can be deducted as a legitimate business expense -- commercial growers categorize such as 'advertising' or 'ongoing education' or 'membership in a professional organization.'

Support your local cider producer!

We ask that all members desiring a listing agree in principle to certain Holistic Core Values. We expect you to share openly with interested customers all management choices deemed necessary on a particular orchard site. Many of our growers do not use synthetic chemicals at all and are quite happy to talk about holistic alternatives to allopathic recourse.

Keeping your membership in good standing necessitates a modicum of financial support for these efforts every few years. You decide the amount. Bonus benefits continue from there: Our periodic assessment of spray product pricing saves you money by introducing a wider range of suppliers. Your listing will remain current. Access to the Member's Corner in our discussion forum brings you into the inner sanctum. Heck, we'll even throw in the secret tattoo!

Growing healthy fruit on this good earth is the real blessing.
