Some findings to share on what is safe to mix with the codling moth Cydia pomonella granulovirus (see below links).
- A significant loss of Cydia pomonella granulovirus virulence was only found
in mixtures under strong alkaline conditions higher than pH 11 (i.e. lime sulphur)
- It is safe to mix sulphur and potassium bicarbonate individually and even mixed together with Cydia pomonella granulovirus.
- Mixing Bt with Cydia pomonella granulovirus reduces codling moth larvae mortality as Bt acts faster than the virus thus inhibiting larval feeding prior to the larvae ingesting a lethal dose of virus.
